Peace Corps Volunteers Sworn in Bulgaria

Peace Corps trainees were sworn in the Bulgarian city of Pazardzhik, some 100km southeast of Sofia. The forty-one Americans underwent three-month training in Bulgaria. As Peace Corps volunteers, they will take on teaching jobs across Bulgaria for two years. The next group of trainees that arrives from the US on August 4 will work in the field of environmental protection and regional economic development.
