Bulgarian Military Instructors to Train Afghan Army

Bulgaria's Cabinet will suggest replacement of Bulgaria's sanitary company in Afghanistan with a mechanized platoon and instructors. The replacement is planned for September 2003.

Bulgaria's contingent should assist the Afghanistan's Cabinet for the forming and training of the newly for armed forces of the country.

Bulgaria's sanitary company is in Afghanistan from February 2000 as a part of the International Peacekeeping Forces.

Bulgaria's Cabinet suggests that the new mechanized platoon should include up to 50 military men with personal weapon equipment and logistics and communicational techniques. The new platoon should also include 25 instructors for the Afghanistan's army.
