Heavy floods in Eastern China killed thirteen people and left more than a million stranded, China's official Xinhua news agency reported. Almost 380,000 people living in the flooded Huai River valley had been evacuated, adding that rising water had cut off access to the homes of about 1.15 million residents. The three provinces along the rain-swollen Huai River - Anhui, Jiangsu and Henan - are the most affected. "It's the worst flooding since 1991 in terms of the volume of rainfall and water level," Chinese official from Anhui Department of Civil Affairs, said.
