Trade Unions in Bulgaria Threaten Wave of Strikes

A wave of strikes will be staged in different regions in the country, starting from September 20, said Zhelyazko Hristov, chairman of the Confederation of Independent Trade Unions in Bulgaria (CITUB). In the words of Zhelyazkov Bulgaria is set for a hot trade union autumn and a national strike is not ruled out.

Talking to "This Morning" broadcast of private national TV channel bTV Hristov said that the failure in the Cabinet's economic team is undoubtedly most dramatic. In his words the pessimism is constantly mounting with expectations for worsening factors in the economic and social sector in the country.
