Candidacies for Bulgaria's Deputy Finance Minister Known in Days

Finance Minister Milen Velchev said Tuesday that within three days he is to propose to Prime Minister Simeon Saxe-Coburg candidacies for deputy finance minister, to replace Gati Al Jebouri, who handed his resignation to Bulgaria's PM Simeon Saxe- Coburg at the end of May.

As reasons for the resignation Gati Al Jebouri pointed out his willingness to spend more time with his family. "I had no long-term political ambitions, but I believe our cabinet achieved a lot during the last two ears" Al Jabouri said.

Talking exclusively to the Bulgarian National Radio Minister Velchev said he is considering two candidacies.

Commenting on the expected Cabinet reshuffle Minister Velchev said only personal changes in the near future could speed up reforms and improve the Cabinet's work.

In his opinion there is a room for improvement in the Cabinet work as a team, he said.

Asked about the failure to meet the people's expectations for higher incomes, Minister Velchev said that realistic or not - they are a fact.
