`The terrorist assaults in the United States made representatives of US companies to cancel their reservations in Hilton hotel,` sources from the Sofia Municipality said, quoted by BTA. The municipality is a shareholder in Compagnie des Hotel de Luxe S.A, the company that manages the hotel. Bookings worth USD 100,000 were cancelled, the representatives of the municipality also announced. The security was enhanced at the hotel after Sept. 11. The hotel`s occupancy rate since it opened on March 1 is 60% to 70%., The Sofia Municipality Council decided to sell its stake in the hotel on September 29. As a shareholder, the municipality made a non-cash contribution valued at USD 4.4 M. The municipality currently controls 21.64 % of Compagnie des Hotel de Luxe S.A.
