Four security guards transporting the cash of a Sofia exchange bureaux were wounded in a shoot-out as robbers attacked them. The incident took place in front of the Moskva hotel at about 08:30 am local time on Monday.

Three of them were rushed to hospital to undergo surgery.

The four rid in two cars when the masked men attacked them. The assaulters failed the robbery but managed to escape.

The condition of three of the wounded men is stable, but doctors fear the life of the fourth victim. The men has been hit twice in the chest, his spinal column has also been affected.
