Bulgaria's Volleyball Team in World's League Finals

Bulgaria's volleyball team will take part in the finals of the World's volleyball league in Spain starting July 8.

Bulgarian team won a dramatic victory 3:2 (25:23, 25:22, 20:25,15:11) over Serbia and Montenegro June 21.

This victory took the team of Milorad Kijac directly to the finals in Madrid.

Over 5,000 volleyball fans gathered in Kongresna Hall at the Palace of Culture and Sports in the coastal town of Varna to applaud the fantastic performance of the Bulgarian team.

Earlier in the day a bomb tip off nearly ruined the match. However the match started as planned at 20:20 p.m. local time.

Bulgaria's President Georgi Parvanov and his Lebanon counterpart Emile Lahud attended the game and applauded the performance of the two teams.
