Bulgaria's President Georgi Parvanov congratulated Prime Minister Simeon Saxe-Coburg on his 66th birthday celebrated on Monday.
The president sent a telegram expressing his high opinion of the prime minister's efforts to see Bulgaria develop.
"I want to assure you that I appreciate your efforts for Bulgaria's progress and your contribution to giving the country better reputation on the international scene," the telegram read.
The president also highlighted the decisive progress in the realization of Bulgaria's foreign policy priorities to which the prime minister also contributed. Parvanov acknowledged the role of Saxe-Coburg for the promotion of tolerant attitudes among the country's politicians.
The president has also stated confidence his dialogue with Saxe-Coburg will go on as a "key to Bulgaria's political stability and effective functioning."
