Bulgaria's Top Athlete May Skip European Championship

Bulgaria's top athlete Tereza Marinova may skip the European Athletics Championship June 21-22 in Slovenia, Bulgaria's Darrik Radio said Tuesday.

Marinova is currently recovering after a serious injury. She went through medical tests Tuesday, the results will come out Wednesday.

Tereza Marinova won the women's triple jump gold medal at the European indoor athletics championships in 2002. She took the first place with a season's best result - 14.81 m, in her second attempt.
