National Bank of Greece (NBG) Governor and Chairman of the United Bulgarian Bank Board of Directors Theodore Karatzas presented Wednesday NBG's activity and prospects for cooperation in Bulgaria.

The Bulgarian market is proving to be one of crucial importance to our group, Karatzas underlined at the meeting.

Our key objective remains to contribute to the growth of the region and at the same time play a leading role in the provision of financial products and services in neighbouring economies, Theodore Karatzas underlined.

He stressed the benefits of knitting closer together the productive and financial potential of the region.

Greece's top businessmen delegation led by Karatzas arrived in Bulgaria to explore opportunities for Bulgarian-Greek business collaboration.

One hundred of Greece's top businessmen attended the presentation to meet with leaders of Bulgarian firms. Bulgaria's Economy Minister Nikolay Vassilev was also present at the meeting.
