Local Elections to "Give Mark" to Bulgaria's Incumbents

Politics | June 3, 2003, Tuesday // 00:00

The results of Bulgaria's local elections will be indicative of the people's evaluation of Bulgaria's ruling coalition party National Movement Simeon II and its junior partner Movement for Rights and Freedom (MRF), Ahmed Dogan, MRF leader said Tuesday.

Dogan explained that MRF does not necessarily have to back the candidate of Bulgaria's ruling coalition party National Movement Simeon II for Sofia mayor.

He added that if the National Movement Simeon II candidate does not excel over Sofia mayor Stefan Sofianski there would be some serious problems.

On July 20 ruling coalition will have prepared a detailed report on the Cabinet's work over the first two years of its mandate.
