More than 37% approve what has been done by the Bulgarian Parliament so far, according to a survey, conducted by the National Center for Research of the Popular Opinion. The survey was conducted from September 7 to September 17 among 1004 Bulgarians. The government is the Bulgarian institution that is rated the highest from the surveyed – 63%. It is followed by the army and the Bulgarian Orthodox Church with over 46%. Most people approve the Bulgarian President Stoyanov – almost 70%. Prime Minister Saxe-Coburg follows Stoyanov with 2.2% less. The most popular minister from the Cabinet is Economy Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Nikolay Vassilev – 37% approve his work. The Bulgarian Finance Minister Milen Velchev and the Foreign Minister Passy follow him. According to the center that conducted the poll, the majority of the Bulgarians still are unable to identify and rate the members of the new Cabinet. Also, the expectations of the people from the Presidential elections are not clear. 42.4% said that they do not know whether the Simeon II National Movement should run with its own candidate. If the movement supports the candidature of the current president Stoyanov, he will receive 93% of the votes. In case that the movement does not support Stoyanov, he will get 33% of the votes. 43.1%, though, consider that the best alternative is that Stoyanov is elected for second mandate.
