ELECTORAL CHAIR WITH SALARY EQUAL TO MINISTER PAY

The Parliament voted on September 26 the salaries to be paid to the members of the Central Electoral Commission. The salary of the Chairman of the Commission will be equal to that of the ministers – BGN 1150. His deputies will receive BGN 1035. The members of the Committee will receive BGN 978. Maria Pavlova, professor at the Sofia `St Kliment Ohridski` University, is the commission`s chairman. She was nominated by the Simeon II National Movement The deputy chairmen of the Central Electoral Commission are Rumen Nenkov, judge in the Supreme Court of Cassation and Plamen Kirov, chief assistant professor at Sofia University. The United Democratic Forces nominated Rumen Nenkov and the left-wing Coalition for Bulgaria nominated Plamen Kirov. Mustafa Karadayi, nominated by the Movement for Rights and Freedoms was elected for secretary of the Central Electoral Commission. A boom issue of the Official Gazette published 29 documents, concerning the coming Presidential elections.
