The house museum of distinguished Bulgarian poet Peyo Yavorov already welcomes its visitors with a renovated exterior and garden.
The initiative, sponsored by A.D.I.S. (Domestic Diplomatic Properties Agency), is part of the company's long-term social responsibility campaign "The real things", which aims to improve Bulgaria's urban environment. It comes after the renovation of the Doctor's Monument in downtown Sofia in the middle of March, co-organized by A.D.I.S, which specializes in the field of management, maintenance and leasing exclusive and luxurious properties for residential and office use.
Many people take historical monuments for granted. For ADIS these first steps towards restoring the values of Bulgaria's heritage are part of our corporate culture, Dian Kavrakov, CEO of ADIS, said at the opening of the renovated museum.
He expressed the hope that other companies would join the initiative and called on Bulgarian business to join efforts for preserving Bulgaria's culture heritage.
The poet's relatives as well as students from Sofia's school "Peyo Yavorov" laid flowers at the monument of the great Bulgarian poet.
The building that houses the monument dates back to the end of the nineteenth century. Peyo Yavorov and his wife Lora Karavelova lived in the house for over a year. Following an extensive renovation, the house was declared a museum in 1963.
