A unique gold wreath of a Thracian chieftain is on display at the National Museum of History in Sofia since May 14.

The gold wreath is the best preserved Thracian gold wreath and also one of the most treasured Thracian artifacts as gold wreaths are very rare.

It is part of the private collection of Bulgarian tycoon Vassil Bozhkov who chairs the club of the country's big business - Vazrazhdane.

Gold wreaths are among the most remarkable and exceptionally rare artifacts of the ancient Thracian culture, which flourished on the territory of today's Bulgaria, Greece and the European part of Turkey.
