Nearly 120,000 young Bulgarians are currently in debt
The budget deficit in the "State Government" institutional sector for 2022 is 4,859,000,000 leva, NSI reports. This is 2.9% of GDP.
The deficit in the "Central Government" sub-sector amounts to 4,678,000,000 leva, or 2.8% of GDP. The "Local Government" sub-sector realized a surplus of 442,000,000 leva, and the "Social Insurance Funds" sub-sector realized a deficit of minus 623,000,000 leva.
Bulgaria's debt for 2022 amounts to 37,850,000,000 leva, or 22.6% of GDP.
