US military units pulling out of Iraq might be transferred to bases in Bulgaria, US newspaper Los Angeles Times insists in an article published May 2.

According to the publication, US soldiers who fought Saddam's people might end up in Bulgaria, Romania and Hungery. The article titled "US Expedites Reshuffling of Europe Troops" forecasts that some of the units that were previously based in Germany will not return to that country.

According to Bulgaria's Foreign Minister Solomon Passy, Washington have not notified Sofia about such plans.

Bulgaria welcomed US troops in its air base Sarafovo for the attack on Iraq. Now the combaters who were in charge of the refueling of US fighter jets that were hitting Iraq are pulling out of Bulgaria.
