In case that the verdicts of the Bulgarian medics, charged in intentionally infecting Libyan children, are heavy, they will be appealed, according to Bulgarian Justice Minister Anton Stankov. The verdict will most probably be announced on the September 22 hearing. Considering the serious accusations, it is very possible that the sentences will be quite heavy. The Libyan lawyer of the Bulgarians Byzanti said that it is possible that the verdicts are not announced at the 22 September trial because of procedural problems. The relatives of the chaged medics left for Libya on September 22 to attend the meeting of the Court. The government granted BGN 12,000 financial aid to them to be used for travel expenses. The relatives of the Bulgarian medics received their visas shortly before the flight. All of them refused to talk about their expectations from the hearing on September 22. `Everything is extremely painful. We hope to see them,` only Zorka Nachkova commented.
