Vienna Ball Raised Funds for Sofia Emergency Institute

A total of BGN 16, 000 have been raised at the charity glittering Vienna Ball, which took place March 22 under the patronage of H.E. Karl Diem, Austria's Ambassador in Sofia.
Vienna Club - Sofia, one of the organizers of the event, will buy equipment for the neurosurgery center at the Emergency Institute Pirogov in Sofia with part of the raised funds. Another part will be given in aid of the department for children's surgery at Pirogov.
I am happy with the achieved results over the last few years and hope to attract more supporters in our future charity events, Prof. Alexander Yosiffov, chairman of the association said at a press conference April 2.
He also handed certificates to the two official sponsors of the charity event - Schenker, one of the leading international providers of integrated logistics services, and Erste Bank.
Some 300 people attended the charity event at Kempinski Zografski Hotel march 22, among whom ministers, politicians, businessmen.
The Vienna Ball in Sofia took place for the first time seven years ago, but has been included in the official calendar of the Vienna Balls and supported by Vienna municipality since 2001.
