Muslims across Bulgaria Friday prayed about the victims of the war in Iraq on Friday. Chief Mufti Selim Mehmed joined the congregation at Plovdiv's Djumaya mosque.

Prayers for peace in Iraq were held in more than three hundred mosques in Kurdzali district with predominant ethnic Turkish population.

Muslims also packed the mosque in central Sofia to pray for peace as the war in Iraq continued for a ninth day in a row with prospects to last long time.
