We're going to have a very serious conversation with Russia's ambassador to our country, told Nova TV the outgoing Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ekaterina Zaharieva commenting on the investigation of a Russian trace in the blasts at ammo depots and defence plants in Bulgaria.

She stressed that in the last year and a half alone Bulgaria has expelled eight Russian diplomats and assured that such actions are taken every time when it is considered that there are unacceptable and malicious activities on the territory of Bulgaria. In her words, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is about to make an analysis of the situation and announce what measures it will take in the case.

We want to develop tourism with them and have relations on equal footing, but this should not be at the cost of Bulgaria's national security, Zaharieva said.

However, she pointed out that our ambassadors will not be recalled.

We have no interest in breaking diplomatic relations with Russia, Zaharieva was adamant.

Our foreign minister explained that she herself learnt only yesterday that the prosecutor's office is working on the case. According to her, the revelations in the Czech Republic have become an occasion to look into the incidents here and seek connection with other cases in Bulgaria.

According to Zaharieva, the blasts in weapons factories in Bulgaria could not have happened without the knowledge of the heads of these intelligence services at the highest level. However, she declined to specify whether she also meant the knowledge of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The Deputy Prime Minister offered a hypotheses that the fire at the Interior Ministry was aimed at destroying the evidence of the connection between Russian agents and these blasts.

Regarding the words of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, who ironized the Bulgarian Prosecutor's Office, she said that she does not expect Moscow to admit to the case and it is normal to try to shift the responsibility.
