Bulgaria: Bulgaria COVID 19: National Anti-Covid Operational Headquarters Disbanded

The National Operational Headquarters has been disbanded as of today.

This was announced by the government information service. The headquarters was established by order of Prime Minister Boyko Borissov at the beginning of the pandemic in February 2020.

The National Operational Headquarters aimed to organize and coordinate the actions of the competent state authorities in connection with the declared by the World Health Organization public health emergency of international importance regarding the disease COVID-19.

A little later it became clear that the Minister of Health resigned Prof. Kostadin Angelov and the Chief State Health Inspector Assoc. Prof. Angel Kunchev will continue to inform the public about the spread of COVID-19 in our country, about anti-epidemic measures and everything related to the vaccination process.

This was communicated by the press center of the Ministry of Health.

The two will give a briefing on Monday, April 19, and it will be announced when and where the event will take place.
