Bulgaria: PACE Sends Observers to Monitor General Election in Bulgaria on April 4

An 18-member delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), led by Alfred Heer (Switzerland, ALDE), will observe the conduct of the parliamentary elections in Bulgaria, the organization wrote on its website, https://pace.coe.int/, on Monday.

The delegation will be working alongside observers from the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly and the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR).

It will have remote meetings, in particular, with leaders and representatives of political parties and coalitions, the
Chairperson of the Central Election Commission, as well as with representatives of civil society and the media, before
travelling to Bulgaria for observing the ballot on April 4.

A member of the Venice Commission - the Council of Europe's group of independent legal experts - will provide legal support
during the visit, PACE said.
