Bulgaria: UK Changes Lockdown Rules as of March 29

The rule of six and outdoor sports are back once again, as the lockdown rules change today.

As of today, March 29, residents are allowed to meet with one other household or up to five other people outside - including gardens.

Outdoor sport can also resume, allowing grassroots sports like five-a-side football, golf and tennis again.

The "stay at home" order also lifts for the first time from today, allowing people to leave their homes for non-essential reasons.

It opens the question of how far can you travel, now that the essential 'stay at home' message has ended.

Crucially, while rules are shifting, there are still several restrictions in place to ensure the lockdown easing is safe

With the stay at home rule lifted, you no longer need an essential reason to leave, opening up plenty more opportunities.

There is no specific limit on how far you are allowed to travel but residents are still advised to stay local.

The Government continues to urge people to use their common sense, The Mirror said.

In practice, that means you can travel to meet with five others, or one other household, but indoor visits and overnight stays are still banned.

The rules also state that if you can work from home, you should continue to do so.

While the stay at home order may be lifted, it doesn't mean we will be going on holiday any time soon.

It remains illegal to travel abroad for holidays.

Under the current roadmap, international travel "without a reasonable excuse" will be allowed from the earliest, May 17.

However, there are many discussions wondering if this will be too early, giving the third wave in Europe and slower vaccine rollout.

ban on leaving the UK without reasonable excuse is also being put in place today, which suggests anyone who breaks such rules could face a £5,000 fine
