Winter Tourism: 1.8 Million Visit Bulgaria
Bulgaria has witnessed a bustling winter tourism season, with a total of 1.8 million tourists gracing its picturesque landscapes from December 1 to March 25
Over the past 24 hours, 4,375 new cases of coronavirus infection have been documented in the country, data from the single information portal show.
Yesterday, 17,120 tests were made - 9,584 PCR and 7,536 antigen. Positivity rate is 25%.
Those hospitalized with COVID-19 exceed 9,000 people - as of March 25, they were 9,125, which is 198 more than yesterday. Of the patients admitted for hospital treatment, 743 are in intensive care wards.
In the past 24 hours, 12,504 vaccines have been given, as since the start of the immunization campaign - 401,309 are vaccinated. At the same time, 79,977 people have already been vaccinated with a second dose.
The active cases were 52,392.
In the last day, the disease took the lives of 106 people, the cured are 2,709.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 12,413 people have lost the battle for their lives, 242,311 have recovered.
The total number of confirmed carriers of the SARS-CoV-2 virus was 317,116, of which 11,474 were medics.
The most are the new cases in Sofia, Plovdiv, Burgas and Varna.
