GREEK INTEREST IN ENERGY SECTOR PRIVATIZATION

`Greece is interested in the privatization of the Bulgarian energy sector through the State Energy Company and other companies, Prime Minister Simeon Saxe-Coburg said after a meeting with Nikos Hristodoulakis, Greek Minister of Development that took place on September 18. `The Burgas-Alexandrupoulis pipeline project was also discussed,` Hristodoulakis said. The project will cost USD 600 M and most of the pipes will be on Bulgarian territory. Earlier in the day, Hristodoulakis met with his Bulgarian counterpart Kostadin Paskalev and discussed with him high-tech parks, tourism, the energy sector and the Burgas-Alexandrupoulis pipeline project.
