The storks and swallows are gone, but summer is still here. The weekends will be warm and the afternoons hot. On Saturday, the temperatures in the warmest part of the day will be between 27 and 32 degrees. It remains cooler in the region of Sofia and the Black Sea coast. Around the afternoon there will be a warm wind with stronger gusts in Southeastern Bulgaria.
The sea will be rough in the next 3-4 days with wave heights up to 2 meters. In the mountains the weather will be suitable for walks without unpleasant surprises. Temperatures will be between 15 and 22 degrees.
A little more clouds will appear on Sunday, but the sun will prevail again. The probability of rain is only in the most southeastern regions. Temperatures will be similar to Saturday.
At the beginning of the new week, the late summer time will continue to rule the whole country. The new school year will start with high temperatures, but also with stronger gusts of wind, which will be felt in almost the entire country, especially in the southeast. The first breeze of autumn with a higher probability of precipitation will be mainly in the western half of the country by the end of the working week. Then a cold atmospheric front will pass.
The risk of forest and field fires remains high throughout most of the country. The districts in Southeastern Bulgaria are the most vulnerable. The high temperatures and the stronger gusts of wind create preconditions for difficult control of possible fire elements.
