Bulgaria: Protests in Bulgaria: No Tension on Day 47 of Anti-Government Protest

Yesterday's 47th day of anti-government protests in Sofia passed without escalation of tension. During the demonstrations, people marched in a traditional procession from Independence Square to Eagle Bridge. Earlier, they set up bats in front of the Council of Ministers building in an attempt to demolish the tent camp in front of the Rector's Office.

Yesterday, the "Poison Trio" called on the protesters not to head to Sitnyakovo Blvd. because of the counter-protesters gathered on the boulevard.

There are three blockades left at crossroads in Sofia - on Independence Square, in the area of Sofia University and on Orlov Most.
