Bulgarian Association of Restaurants Insist Employees to Work Outdoors Without Masks in Sarcastic Statement
The Bulgarian Association of Restaurants has taken a position in which they insist that employees work outdoors without masks.
"We may not have understood, but it seems that the coronavirus is gone. Or at least in Bulgaria it is, as if it does not exist. Many people constantly gather in groups without observing any distance or using masks," say the industry. .
"We claim to be monitoring the flow of information, but we have not seen any news that we no longer have COVID-19 in our country. It is possible that we have missed it, because the neglect of the measures is becoming more and more widespread.
At the same time, our employees are obliged to wear masks, for which we are regularly checked by the competent institutions. Even in open spaces and in nearly 40°C heat, "the position states.
"Therefore, we ask that if there really is no virus in Bulgaria and the measures have been dropped, let us know officially," the Association calls.
"And now quite seriously - in view of the mass neglect of the imposed rules and the gathering of groups without observing distance, we insist that the requirement for our employees, who work outdoors, to wear masks be abolished. The requirement of maximum four people on one table is now completely pointless, as the concentration of many more people in small spaces is a fairly common practice outside the restaurants. This requirement only leads to losses for the industry and reduced turnover, so we would like it to be reconsidered, " they said. / VESTI.bg
