BULGARIAN COMPANIES TO MEMBER BIBA

`The Bulgarian Investment Business Association /BIBA/ will open for Bulgarian companies which observe the international standards,` Nikolay Babev, Executive Director of the Association said. The decision was taken at an extraordinary session of the Board of Directors on September 15. The Bulgarian companies will have to observe the business code of ethics, the good manufacturing practice rules, and the international accounting standards. They will have to demonstrate full transparency concerning both their operation and the origin of their capitals. Plamen Ilchev, manager of the Bulgarian representative office of Citibank, and Teodor Georgiev, CEO of Amilum-Razgrad replaced in the Board of Directors John Munnery, Mobikom`s ex CEO, and Jean-Marc Peterschmitt who headed the European delegation to Bulgaria. At the meeting, BIBA discussed its future strategy, the energy sector, the railways and the ports.
