The state Telecommunications Commission revoked the project submitted by the Bulgarian Telecommunication Company on raising the analogue service tariffs by 6.3%, and 20% up for a single pulse. The proposal was submitted by BTC in the first days of September. The intentional tariffs are to be abated by 19%, under the proposal. Monthly subscription will become BGN 1.5 more expensive.

BTC will invest BGN 2.4 million in expanding its optical ring. A 268 km long-distance thoroughfare will be built connecting Sofia with Tutrakan and Dobrich. Under the time table, it should be completed some time in April, 2002.
