Members of Islamic Group Caliphate Arrested in Bulgaria

Two members of the Caliphate, an Islamic organization banned in Germany and
Turkey, were detained in the Roma neighbourhood of the Bulgarian town of Pazardzhik.

Local police worked jointly with the National Security Service in the raid.

The Bulgarian News Agency cited unofficial information that the detainees identified themselves as supporters of Metin Kaplan.

Metin Kaplan, suspected of links with Osama Bin Laden, is currently in prison in Germany for radical Islamist statements.
