Bulgaria issued a postal card with a special postal seal on the occasion of the European Year of People with Disabilities February 27. The card includes the value of the service as well.
Bulgaria officially joined the European initiatives, dedicated to the European Year of People with Disabilities on February 24.
Shirin Mestan, chairman of the State Agency for Child Protection, put the special seal on the first postal card during the official ceremony in Cetral Post, Sofia.
The author of the picture used on the card, 10 years old Hristofor Krustev, attended the ceremony, together with Krassimir Kotsev, chairman of the Union of the People with Disabilities in Bulgaria, representatives of the Transport Ministry and the State Agency for Child Protection.
More than 140 children took part in the drawing competition "All children are different, but have equal rights", organized by the State Agency for Child Protection.
Hristofor from the village of Gorski Senovets, municipality of Strazhitsa, won the competition with a picture named "All children have suns in their hearts".
