Second Bulgarian Unit Returned from Afghanistan

Twenty-three troops on the second Bulgarian unit that took part in the mission of the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) in Afghanistan came back on Sunday night. They had only fifteen minutes to talk to their relatives after a six months stay in Kabul. Immediately after that they were taken to hospital for two-day routine checks after their mission.

Defense Minister Nikolay Svinarov and officials of the General Headquarters of the Bulgarian armed forces welcomed the troops.

The third Bulgarian unit left for Afghanistan last week for a rotation of the Bulgarian troops, part of the international forces in Afghanistan.
