Bulgaria's Embassy in Baghdad Worked Out 48-hour Escape Plan

The staff of the Bulgarian embassy in Baghdad can be evacuated within forty-eight hours in spite of flight ban if possible was breaks out. The Bulgarian consul in the embassy, Svetlin Sesserinov, said that in an interview for local Darik radio. He said that the staff would be probably moved by automobiles but refused to reveal particulars.

According to him, the Bulgarian embassy hosts a reduced number of staff but functions as normal. Sesserinov said that the mission is ready to react in extraordinary situations. However, he stressed that circumstances have not changed dramatically yet.

He assured that measures have been introduced to guarantee the security of Bulgarians who work and live in Iraq.
