The first hydrogen bus will be launched in Bulgaria in May, said deputy transport minister Angel Popov, who participated in a discussion on hydrogen fuels.

He explained that work is under way to change the legislation to start construction of hydrogen charging stations on the main highways.


,,The first hydrogen-powered bus will be delivered in Plovdiv for two months'', said Deputy Minister of Transport.

Angel Popov - Deputy Minister of Transport: It will be a city bus. The price is slightly higher, with about 10-15% of the regular bus. 

The first hydrogen charging station will be build up to 2 years old, and it will be located near the Burgas port and is designed for ships whose engines run on hydrogen fuel.
