During his apostolic trip to Bulgaria from 5 to 7 May this year. Pope Francis will visit Sofia and Rakovski, and then on May 7 he will travel to Skopje, the presidential press service announced.
The press service of the Holy See has published on Thursday a working version of the pope's program in Bulgaria and northern Macedonia.
He will arrive in Sofia on May 5 and will be met at Sofia Airport by Prime Minister Boyko Borisov.

Focus on Pope Francis' program on 6 May is the visit of the town of Rakovski, where the largest Catholic community in Bulgaria lives. The apostolic journey of Pope Francis in Bulgaria will end with a peace event of the Holy Father in the presence of representatives of various religious denominations in Bulgaria at Nezavisimost Square.
