Mrs. Yana Topalova, Deputy Executive Director of Bulgarian Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Promotion Agency (BSMEPA), will open small businesses support forum in Varna and Burgas. Representatives of EBRD, Ministry of Economy and the Agency will explain the opportunities for growth and competitiveness of small and medium-sized companies in the country.

Forums on „Do you want your business to grow? We have experts and know-how“ is organized by European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in partnership with t Ministry of Economy and the municipalities of Varna and Burgas.

In Varna, the event will take place at the Black Sea Hotel on March 6, 2019 at 2 pm

In Bourgas – on March 7, 2019 at 10.00 am in „Petya Dubarova“ Hall of the „Sea Casino“.

Representatives of all small and medium-sized companies from Varna, Bulgas and from both regions are invited to participate. The purpose of the forum is to get acquaintance with the opportunities offered by EBRD’s Small Business Support Program. Through it, companies can receive expert development and growth support in various areas such as strategy, marketing, financial management, energy efficiency, and more.

“For the past year, the program has supported the implementation of 25 projects and almost the same amount are waiting for approval. Most of the implemented projects are in Sofia, this is why we organize information forums in the country. This way more companies can learn about the program and take advantage of the opportunities it offers.”, said Miroslav Stoyanov, Program Manager for Bulgaria.

Entrepreneurs who have successfully completed a project will share their personal experience with the application, approval, and performance process during the forum. The team, runing EBRD Small Business Support Program will provide practical advices and guidance for successful participation.

Representatives of the Ministry of Economy and Bulgarian Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises Promotion Agency will present the measures to support small businesses and  business opportunities provided by the Operational Program „Innovation and Competitiveness 2014-2020“.

Varna Municipality will present its policy for the promotion of entrepreneurship.

Business representatives from Varna and the region will have the opportunity to tell about the challenges they face in their everyday life and to seek dialogue with the institutions on which the resolution of their problems depends.

Donors of the program “Support for small business” of EBRD for Bulgaria are the European Investment Policy Advisory Center and the European Union. From the declaration of interest to the approval of the project, it takes no more than 1 month. The grant is received within 1 month after the end of the project. More than 50 consulting companies are qualified in the program.
