Ukrainian Woman Detained in Sunny Beach After Attempted Bribery of Police Officers
Bulgarian authorities found themselves grappling with a peculiar case involving a 60-year-old Ukrainian woman
Missing money is the reason for the 14-year-old girl from Varna to be beaten by her father. On March 1, between the 45-year-old Hristo Hristov and his daughter a scandal broke out about a missing sum of money, then the man had begun to beat the child. She is currently in a hospital with bodily injuries after the beatings.
Hristov is the father of three children. His big daughter and the 14-year-old girl are living with him, and his son is with his mother. Because of domestic violence over her younger daughter and son last year, the court issued an order to protect her from domestic violence.
He was forbidden to approach his two children and refrain from domestic violence. However, the 14-year-old girl decided to live with her father and moved to him, the press service of the Appellate Prosecutor's Office in Varna reported.
Against Hristov there is a restrictive order not to approach his ex-wife. He has been sentenced twice to probation - for making threats and for violating the restraining order.
The District Prosecutor's Office in Varna filed a motion for a detention on remand in custody. The hearing is scheduled for today at 11:55.
