Bulgaria: Decline of Complaints Against Bulgaria in Strasbourg Court

The number of complaints against Bulgaria in the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg (ECHR) is decreasing. This was what Justice Minister Tsetska Tsacheva told the parliamentary stand. Our country is already out of the list of the ten most often sentenced for violated human rights.

However, Tsacheva admitted that the problem of overcrowding in Sofia's arrests remains. This problem came to light after the changes in the law, according to which all detainees for corruption have already been brought to Sofia because of the criminality of these crimes against the special court.

The arrests in Sliven and Gabrovo are among those with the worst conditions, Tsacheva said and specified that they were built long time ago.
