About 90% of the construction works of the metro station from Line 3 of the metro "Bul.Bulgaria" are done. Sofia Mayor Yordanka Fandakova and the Executive Director of Metropolitan EAD Prof. Stoyan Bratoev checked the progress of the site. Finishing works are currently under way.
Bul.Bulgaria Metro Station is located at the crossing of Bulgaria Blvd and Akad.Iv.Geshov Blvd and is part of Line 3, which is implemented under OP Transport and Transport Infrastructure. At the end of March it is planned to start testing with metro trainers on the new track in the section "Medical Academy - Krasno Selo". Sofia has already delivered 13 of the new Siemens metro trains.
Currently 12 km are built from Line 3. By the end of this year the first 8 km of them will be released - from "Vladimir Vazov" Blvd. through Oborishte, Orlov most, the center, National Palace of Culture, Alexandrovska Hospital, Bulgaria Blvd. to Krasno Selo. In the first half of 2020, the second phase of the road will be launched - 4 km with 4 metro stations from "Krasno selo" quarter through the railway station, Ovcha Kupel to the Ring Road in Gorna Banya district.
