The flu epidemic in Burgas region, with all associated anti-epidemic measures, has been cancelled, the Regional Administration said. The local health authorities have registered a significant decrease in the number of the patients and a trend of normalisation of the situation. Precisely, 225 cases were registered between January 28 and 31, compared to 370 cases in January 21-24 that had given reason to extend the epidemic period over the subsequent days. By the end of this week, the flu rate in Burgas is expected to go down below the epidemic threshold, even below the pre-epidemic levels.
