Bulgaria: Situation in Smolyan Gets Back to Normal after the Heavy Snow

The state of emergency in Smolyan is still in place on 28th of January, but it is expected to be cancelled today after the situation in the region gradually gets back to normal, reports BNT.

Traffic is one-way through Pamporovo ski resort. Cars are not allowed from Progled to the resort. Traffic from the town is redirected through the Rozhen pass.

The Pamporovo-Stoykite road is cleaned from snow. Ploughing machines are still working to open the Prevala pass. All failures in the power grid have been removed. Generators are delivered where necessary.

Schools resume classes as of today.
