Bulgaria: Factory for Ice Cream in Varna Closes Doors

The Swiss-British Froneri is closing its ice cream factory in Varna and will now import from Serbia, said Capital.

The company is charging Nestle freezers, and among the popular brands are BOSS, Magnum, Familia.

The factory, which has 72 employees, will stop production on March 1. Some of them will be offered the opportunity to move to other Froneri factories abroad.

The need for large investments to expand and modernize it, plus the lack of seasonal workforce, is the reason for the decision, the company explains.
