The Bulgarian government announced that September 14 will be a National Day of Mourning for Bulgaria. The tragic events in New York and Washington are the reason for that. All official events will be cancelled because of the national mourning. The Bulgarian Government joins the declaration of the EU Council of Ministers, appealing to all Europeans to observe a minute of silence in memory of the victims. The Government calls on all Bulgarians to join them in observing a minute of silence at 12 noon in memory of the victims of the tragedy. At the proposal of Minister without portfolio Nezhdet Mollov, the sirens will go on at 12 noon local time on September 14.
