The Bulgarian Prime Minister Simeon Saxe-Coburg may run for President in case that he gets the support of the left wing parliament members for changes in the Constitution, Sega Daily wrote. According to the newspaper, the parliamentary group of the Simeon II National Movement is ready to present the draft that will change the requirement in the Constitution that the candidates for President should have stayed at least 5 years in the country before they run for the position. The change can pass if at least 180 MPs vote in favor. If the Constitution is changed, Saxe-Coburg will have the legal right to run for President. `The constitutional change issue was not discussed with the Executive Board of the Party` Angel Naydenov, Bulgarian Socialist Party spokesman announced. Simeon II National Movement and the Movement for Freedoms and Rights denied the publication of Sega Daily that they negotiate changes of the Constitution.
