The CNS-Sofia Ticketing System Consortium was ranked first and was selected as a public procurement contractor for the construction of the electronic public transport system in Sofia, the City Mobility Center announced. The consortium, which unites the companies "Computer Services" Ltd. and "Asis Electronist Systems Systems", "Anonym Shirket" and "Tixi" AD, is ready to fulfill the task for BGN 73.248 mln.
Under the terms of the public procurement, the consortium must build the new tick system within 24 months, providing for the entry into operation of more than 15,000 devices in over 1350 vehicles of 4 types of transport, installation of equipment in 11 landfills, 52 metro stations and over 80 retail outlets. Part of the contract is the integration of the new system into the already existing and training of 3000 employees of TSG and transport operators.
The ticket system will bring more comfort to the passengers as it will be possible to use a single transport document for the different modes of transport, the press release says.
