Bulgaria: Boyko Borisov will Open the First Plovdiv Economic Forum

Prime Minister Boyko Borisov will open the first Plovdiv Economic Forum. Its organizers are the Athens-based Delphic Economic Forum and the Center for Liberal Strategies in Sofia. The focus of the discussions is political, economic and intellectual issues, as well as the challenges facing Bulgaria, the region and Europe.

Among the topics discussed within the Forum will be the future of the EU, the enlargement of the Eurozone, the Energy Union and the Banking Union, the prospects for the Western Balkans, the capital formation and development in the field of foreign direct investment in Bulgaria as well as the opportunities for improvement in the educational outcomes, demography, etc.

Among the participants in the two-day program will be the Deputy Prime Ministers Ekaterina Zaharieva and Tomislav Donchev, the Minister of the Bulgarian Euro-Presidency Lilyana Pavlova, the Minister of Energy Temenujka Petkova and the Minister of Economy Emil Karanikolov. Private sector representatives as well as more than 50 foreign experts will also be included.
