Bulgaria and the United Arab Emirates signed a Memorandum of Mutual Recognition and Replacement of Driving Licenses, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The document governs the requirements for the replacement of driving licenses by regulating the mutual recognition and replacement of category B driver license with the equivalent category in the UAE.
This will relieve Bulgarians who visit or reside permanently in the United Arab Emirates.
Our compatriots will be able to use their Bulgarian testimonies, which will save financial costs for an additional course and a practical exam.
The Memorandum is signed after nearly eight years of talks between the governments of the two countries. The document was signed by Bulgaria's Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates Bogdan Kolarov and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates Ahmed Sari Al-Masueri and will enter into force within one month from the date of signing.
